SMART Junior

It should be fun for children to learn new things and develop their understanding of maths. Therefore, the educational resources that we have developed for primary school pupils are designed to be engaging and interactive.

SMART Junior is specifically designed to introduce the topic of money to Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. Through interactive presentations and associated activities delivered by our staff children can learn about what money is, where it comes from, how they can earn it, how to prioritise spending and the importance of saving.

The length of the sessions can vary and will depend on the amount of time you have in the classroom.

Our modules are:

  • What a bank is
  • How people earn money
  • The value of money
  • Group activity: Finding the coins
  • Group activity: Spending money in Penny’s shop
  • Saving and spending

  • What services does a bank offer
  • Group activity: Match the description to the correct job
  • Living on a budget: What this means
